KBShimmer Carpe Denim

I don’t know how I’ve gone so long without trying KBShimmer, but I’ve definitely thought about ordering for a very long time. I think it was my usual top coat running low and getting all clotted up that got me to finally order, since KBShimmer’s top coat is highly rated by many fellow polish addicts.

Since I was ordering the top coat, I figured why not order a few colors, too? One of the colors I ended up picking out was Carpe Denim:

Carpe Denim has a navy-blue jelly/crelly base and is loaded with silver and holographic glitters of different sizes. Together, they make a lovely approximation of a starry night sky. The formula is good and reasonably opaque in two coats. Dry time was, I think, faster than average for me. If I remember right, durability was about average, maybe 4-5 days.

Speaking of starry night sky polishes, which I generally love and have a few of, I don’t actually own the original Essie Starry Starry Night, but I have the newer version (2015) from the Retro Revival collection, and I like Carpe Denim better. Here are some of my swatches of other starry night polishes:

There may be more, even in my own nail journal, but these are just the ones I scrounged up from my current memory and a cursory look. What’s your favorite night sky polish? I’d love to know!
