Final week of this year’s Halloween nails. 🙂 Felt like going for something minimalist this time.
This is one coat of Sinful Colors Got a Bat Attitude and one coat Julep Nicola, topped with Sally Hansen Miracle Gel top coat. The second photo shows my blurry attempt to capture the phosporescence in the half dark and mostly dark. Both polishes are glow-in-the-dark, but the glow is so fleeting and weak that it hardly matters. That could be because neither of these polishes are new, though, or maybe because I only wore two thin coats.

1 coat #SinfulColors (@sinfulcolors_official) Got A Bat Attitude and 1 coat #Julep (@julepbeauty) Nicola (both glow-in-the-dark polishes), plus #SallyHansen Miracle Gel top coat. Outdoor natural light for the first photo. Second photo is taken in varying levels of darkness to show the glow. Nicola's sparkle is blue, but it keeps showing up as silver in my photos. #nailpolish #nails #nailsofig #nailsofinstagram #shimmer #glowinthedark #glitter #halloween #notd
Got a Bat Attitude is a sheer glow-in-the-dark polish with black bat glitters. It looks like a translucent yellow-green in the bottle, but you really can’t see the color on the nail; it might as well be clear with bat glitters. Unfortunately, the formula is pretty thin, and you really have to fish for those bats, which isn’t the easiest to do. Still, pretty cute, right?
Nicola is a sheer apricot glow-in-the-dark base with transparent-to-blue shimmer particles. The shimmer appears primarily blue in person, but my phone camera couldn’t capture it, unfortunately. The base adds only the slightest orange tint. to whatever’s under it, and I’m not sure it can be built up to opacity in a reasonable number of layers. No problems with the formula.
Well, I was kind of hoping that there’d be more of a glow-in-the-dark effect to these nails, to make up for the barely-there appearance, but they’re growing on me. 🙂
Happy Halloween, everyone!
