Another set of Halloween nails: Julep Leslie & China Glaze Boo-gie Down:
Julep Leslie is an older Julep polish that I never got around to trying. It still had its shrink wrap on! Leslie is a black creme base with fine silver shimmer. The shimmer is brighter in the bottle, but it’s pretty subtle on the nail and looks almost like an off-black creme unless you look carefully. The formula was a little on the drier side but applied fine. Patchy in one coat, but good coverage in two.
China Glaze Boo-gie Down is a clear base with a variety of black, white, and orange/copper glitters, including multi-sized hexes, microglitter and even bar glitter. Formula on this one was good, not too thick, and it was easy to get a nice spread of glitter on the nail without fishing.
It doesn’t look like I caught any of the orange glitters this time, now that I’m looking at my photo, and the black glitters don’t show up against Leslie. 🤦♀️ Anyway, I think the orange might have dissolved/faded a little over the five years I’ve had this polish, though. It’s not as bright anymore. 😦 Here’s Boo-gie Down on an older Halloween mani from five years ago (ring finger):
Still love that festive mix of glitter, though!
